Panasonic TH42PZ80BA v TYS42PZ800W

Can anyone advise. I bought the TH42PZ80BA Plasma around February and wanted to buy the matching Panasonic Stand TY-S42PZ80W but was told they only had the 'better' TY-S42PZ800W.

I am only now putting the two things together and they don't seem to match i.e. when the TV is seated on the two metal spikes, the screw holes are not visible and at the edges where the TV rests on the stand an area of the stand and foam cushion are visible?

Was I misinformed or am I being thick?http://www.avforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
