Question Best method for decoding lossless files

I'm in the process of upgrading my setup and will be putting a lot of audio into stored lossless format, most likely flac.

Can anyone tell me what is the most high quality method for decoding this?

ie is it best done in the AV amp (eg Denon 3808 or Pioneer SC-LX81) or decoded by an htpc (or some other method I'm not aware of)?

Thanks.

the amp has got to be better than the pc bud, hardware v software..... pretty easy choice, btw nice amp, never realised they came network enabled... shame the budget would never stretch to that, and dam you for opening my eyes

I originally thought it was decoded by dedicated hardware in the amp but I understand they can add support for additional files in the amp firmware which suggests that the amp decodes it using software. I'm not sure if this is the case though?
