Hi I have a Yamaha HTR 3063 AV receiver everything works fine with it I have my blu-ray player and satellite box plugged in both via HDMI however when I plug my Xbox 360 (the old white one) in via HDMI I don't get any picture or sound. I have tried all 3 HDMI ports on the back. The Xbox works when I plug it straight into the TV via HDMI and when I plug the optical cable into the receiver from the Xbox I get 5.1 I just wondered what the problem could be?

You could try another cable or changing the screen resolution on the xbox.

Thanks for the reply I managed to fix it by changing the settings on the Xbox to 720p then plugged it into the amp and it was recognized straight away then I managed to change it to 1080p.
