For othes with the same issue, how much did it cost to repair, who did you go though (their address), and turn around time, and did everything work correctly after getting it back?

Mine was covered by Richer Sounds supercare but they still had to send it back to Sony to be fixed (or at least one of Sonys licences repair centres). That took six weeks but it's still not right and I've had to send it back again

It looks like it was fixed with newer parts that are not compatible with my model as when I power down all my speakers made a popping noise even ones on my computer plugged into and input! Their were no notes on the repair but it looks like it's had a new power supply. it seems they had cocked up something else inside as well as even with all my speakers set the same they we all at different volumes even auto cal wouldn't correct this.
Still I have to point out it's Sony that have cocked this up, Richer sounds have been great with me and I currently have a loan unit. Hopefully it'll come back fixed properly not cowboy fashion!
