Yamaha RX-V465 & Samsung UE32B6000 - Sounds Wrong!

Today my Samsung UE32B6000 TV arrived , after I finished work I went to my local Richer Sounds store and picked up a Yamaha RX-V465 Amp and a Tannoy SFX5.1 speaker set, I got home unpacked my new TV (god its beautiful!). Got it set up on my TV stand, Set up the amp and speakers and I was good to go....... or so I thought!

There seems to be a time delay between picture and sound between my new TV and my Amp, at first I thought it was just me but my wife has also confirmed that she notices it to, there in no problem when I play the sound through the standard TV speakers but as soon as I start up the amp the sound delay is back, does anyone know what the problem could be? Have I set something up wrong? Do I need to change some setting? Is something broken and needs returning, I'm practical pulling my hair out here and can't seem to get things working, please say one of you guys knows what my problem is and how I can go about getting it fixed as I am at a total low after just dropping the best part of £1300 on my new home entertainment system and it doesn't work!

I have already posted this in the TV section but I am so down about it and need help asap so have posted it here to in case the problem is with the amp I have picked and not the TV.

Hope someone can help me!

What sound are you feeding the amp? Is it from the TV or another video source?

Have you tried adjusting the Audio Delay settings?

That's why I'm interested in the source --- if it is HDMI 1.3 to the amp and then from amp to TV, there should be an HDMI auto lipsync setting. I think in the Yamaha you have the option to turn it on or off --- you do in my 1900.

Re: Yamaha RX-V465 & Samsung UE32B6000 - Sounds Wrong!

I didn't realise that the Audio Delay for adjusting Lip-Sync setting was used to stop the time delay, I'm all new to these amp and TV setups lol!

My mistake, but thank you dicklodge & davepuma, I have a smile on my face once more..... wait that just sounds wrong lol! But thank you for the fast reply you fixed my problem and saved me looking a total arse at Richer Sounds tomorrow morning when I would have returned the Amp because it was "Broken" lol!
