I'm looking forward to this. It looks very nice in silver so black should be even better. Roll on '09.

Looks very very nice Any idea of prices for the individual versions and if the basic spec can be upgraded in future?

According to the audiocircle thread, talking about a price of about $6000 but no idea what they will charge for it in the uk and you need to buy a uk spec one unfortunately.

As far as upgrades, it all uses the same chassis, you will be able to add the video board as an extra.

Re: Bryston SP3 Processor

Not much info yet but sounds like it could be a great processor, I have always liked the look of Bryston kit with tank like build quality. Im sure I could be very tempted but it will probably end up costing too much, especially if you add on the cost of the power amp.

Look forward to hearing a few more details

Re: Bryston SP3 Processor

That looks like a match for my Lexicon MC12B.......

And as I have a number of Bryston amps ,

This could go on the wish list .

Re: Bryston SP3 Processor

So I'm guessing that the SP3 has been delayed and/or nixed?

Re: Bryston SP3 Processor

James Tanner (Bryston VP) wrote the following

"There will be stereo subs capability using the Balanced out and the unbalanced out in parallel at this point.

James"

and

"Hi Andy,

We are showing the final prototype at CEDIA next month and hopefully be ready for sale in late fall.

James"

So we are days away from news..............
Andy.

It was rumoured to be $10k, so using the rip-off $1=£1, then you are probably not far off the mark.

Makes the ADA and Arcams of this world seem relatively cheap in comparison

Not something you hear everyday

I am sure it will be up there with the very best for 2Ch, I like the idea of being able to pick not having the video processing etc, a true all rounder, just too much for me, may find its way onto my lottery list though...

I am amazed by this thread and the huge Theta thread over at AVS. It seems that people are willing to wait forever for a new processor based on promises that never come to fruition. This thread started more than two years ago for example.

HDMI is a pain but the problems are not insurmountable as has been proven by others.

Now the bold text really does make sense

Wow, I wonder did they change Rule number 7 or does it apply only sometimes when they feel like it

Anyone know if this is going to have any room EQ? I'm not yet sold that it’s a have to have on processors, but for 10k you kind of expect it

If not, I guess it’s going to the market verses the Classe SP880 - emphasis on 2 channel?

Yeah, it's yet another invasion of a thread by the ADA sellers - so boring, and so unnecessary. I've got to the point that, even if I had the money for the ADA, I wouldn't buy it because of the continual hard sell.

I like the way you edited your post Neil but it still remains as quotations in our posts and the statement factual is how do they say ******** you are barging into another thread and promoting your product which is quite clearly breaking rule 7 and the Moderators and Admin just ignored it.

Not only that, but the reason given for the edit is laughable. recruit, the post has been reported so the Mods are not ignoring the situation.

Talk about Hyping up a product, and yes it is laughable and would not touch there business with a barge pole, and I was even considering trying one out, now I will forget them bunch of...

Back on topic I'm sure the Bryston SP3 will be a fantastic product, for the Ultra High end market.
