Hi all,

I currently have 3 monoblocs for the front 3 speakers and an old integrated amp driving the rears. For space reasons, I'm looking to consolidate units. I'm considering an AVI/AVR but I am reluctant to sell my Meridian 561 - I just love the sound! So, I'm interested in power amp suggestions to partner it and my B&W speakers.

What 5 channel power amps should be on my shortlist?
S/H gear is a must for me. Ideally I'd like to sell my 505s and spend half of their value (so about £500 max)

How much would you have to pay for an older series 1 meridian 558 ?

The few 558.1's that I've seen go on fleabay have sold at around £1200, so that puts it outside Chris' stated budget. It's a superb amp and I'm always looking out for a 558.2. Thinking of selling yours??

I too have a 561 , and I got a Classe Cav 6-channel 75 watt each at the same time . Never looked back.
