Anyone familiar with Lexicon 500t remote?

A long shot but...
I recently bought some used Lexicon kit inc an MC-1 and it came with a 500t learning remote unit. I will do the research but wondered if anyone knew this unit?? I already have an all-in-one and was basically wondering whether this might be better etc. Apparently it cost a fortune when it was released.

Cheers

Re: Anyone familiar with Lexicon 500t remote?

Hi
The 500t was built for Lexicon by RTI.It uses fixed buttons unlike the 700t(you can build your own buttons on that). You can stack macro's and build links on it(very easy to program) but not use bit maps.
You can get the programing software from www.lexicon.com its called Lexidraw, part of this is how to build the programing cable.
The other thing is to check the battery holds charge and that the psu is working. The battery packs cost a packet and the psu's are about £30-£40.
Hope this helps.

Re: Anyone familiar with Lexicon 500t remote?

Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction. It looks like the battery isn't charging so I'll probably not bother with it. A shame really; it may be an old unit but it seems to work very nicely. But it was a freebie so I'm not going to push it any further.

If anyone wants to take it just let me know (and it seems to work fine when connected to the mains).

How about £10, and any excess after postage can go to a charity of his choice? I'm not looking to make money on this, partly because I don't know enough about it and partly because it was free. It is set up to control an MC-1 and Meridian DVD player at the moment and I can confirm that it does work nicely with the MC-1.

Wow, what a star. If there are any problems with it I'll give a full refund of course.
