Lexicon MC12B setup question

I have a Lexicon MC12B V3, I have a problem with the loudness setting, when I put it on I have too much bass, when I switch it off I have virtually no bass? I understand that the defult setting is off?

any help would be appreciated

Re: Lexicon MC12B setup question

I think mc12 got 3 subwoofer outputs, so make sure your sub is conected to the right one i.e. LFE. Probably your bass is directed to the outputs which you aren't using.

What are your crossover settings and what speakers are you using?

Re: Lexicon MC12B setup question

Shin Akuma:

Well its connected to the left out put but selected for Mono, reason why is that when wathing tv (pro logic I get no bass if I plugged it in the LFE) what I understood according to CSE it sends all the LFE to to Mono outputs.

darrenc:

All crossovers are set at THX 80HZ as is the sub.

Just for info the rest of the system is: M&K S-150's and Tripoles for the rears, Velodyne DD10, TAG MCLAREN DVD32R with Crystalio 2300.

I have never had these problems with bass out with my trusty pioneer AX10.

Re: Lexicon MC12B setup question

Try LFE output, i thought mc12's extra sub out puts are for stereo bass instead of LFE i.e. more suited for music. if you don't get any bass from LFE while using PRO LOGIC then I believe you will need to turn off the extra sub outputs, to me that is bit strange that you are using different output for prologic.

Re: Lexicon MC12B setup question

bass 007, you're connection to the left mono sub input is correct. Have you calibrated spkr levels with the mics? Have you tried increasing the dB for the sub in manual spkr setup?
