Maplins power amp, will it be crap?

Maplins power amp, will it be crap?

This is a maplins power amp it looks more of a dj jobby, do you recon its more for power in expense of finese and overall quality?

If I'm looking at the correct link,this is definitely a DJ offering,and you should also look at the specs page...

Input via 1/4 jack plugs
Output via Speakon plugs
Output power 2x250W(not the quoted 1000W,which is simply the old "music power rating" used by amp makes yrs ago).

Definitely NOT hifi in any sense of the word,and if you did want hifi,you could do much better for the same money,albeit with 50W instead of 250W(which only amounts to about a 7dB difference at your ears).
