From the info I found on the Kandy, it has a MM phono input, in addition to the 5 line inputs. Are you using the phono input for the turntable? And is your turntable MM or MC?
(sorry if that's too basic and you've already checked that, I don't know how much you know on this).
How much quieter is it?

A pre-amp takes several line-level inputs and lets you switch between them. Then it has a volume control and possibly tone controls etc. Then it gives you a line-level output.
A power amp takes a single line-level output. It does absolutely nothing to it, other than turn it into a speaker-level output.

An integrated amplifier is a pre-amp connected to a power amp, all in the same box.
Sometimes there will be terminals to allow access to one part or the other.
Your amp has a pre-out, which allows you to send the output from your pre-amp onto a different power amplifier. (it will be sending it to the internal power amp at the same time, so you can use it to bi-amp)
You also have the bypass input, which is effectively a direct input to the power amp section.
This would commonly be used to let you use the K2 as a power amp for the front speakers on an AVR with pre-outs. It's called 'bypass' because it bypasses the pre-amp controls.

Are you planning on putting this 8000q pre-amp onto a normal input of the Roksan?
The Roksan already has a pre-amp on the front of it, so I'd say it's a pretty bad idea. If it does increase the level going into the Roksan's power amp, then it won't be doing it in a safe way. I don't think that it'll solve your hum problem either.
Is all your earthing ok?

Something you could try is an external phono pre-amp.
This is where the terminology gets confusing, as there are two things called a pre-amp.
The type I described in my first post is what most people would just refer to as a 'pre-amp' or a 'stereo pre-amp'.
But you can also get a 'phono pre-amp', which vinyl nuts might just refer to as a 'pre-amp'. This is something that takes the very low-level signal from the turntable, applies an EQ curve to it (because the low frequencies are attenuated to be pressed onto the disc, so they need to be boosted back to normal level), and amplifies the output to line level.
This line level output can now be fed into a standard pre-amp or integrated amp.
Your K2 has a phono pre-amp built into it, on the phono channel only.
You could buy an external phono pre-amp, and plug this into a different channel on the K2.

But in fairness, I wouldn't expect it to make things any louder. Any phono pre-amp should be outputting at a pre-defined level.

If you ignore the hum, then does it go loud enough for you?

Beyond this point we're getting out of my depth on vinyl. I've never owned a disc or owned or even used a turntable.
I just looked back over that and I think I'm rambling quite a bit. Apologies for that!

Some of the amps come with Input Trim for each channel which you can set high for Phono input and cd for normal. Unfortunately the K2 doesn't have this feature but my previous amp Arcam A85 had.
