Power Amp recommenadtion

I'm using Lexican DC 1 as my pre-amp and Rotel 1075 as power.

Thinking of changing my power amp to either ADA 6150 or Parasound HCA 2205

Pls help me with choosing the right amp for me.

Many thanks
Karthik

Re: Power Amp recommenadtion

I went from the same set up to the parasound and the difference was well worth.

The Rotel is sought after and holds it value well and I got a 2205A for £500 so the upgrade cost could be minimal

Re: Power Amp recommenadtion

those rotels are changing hands at £350 now. I guess the new amps from rotel are driving the price down. Good for buyers, bad for sellers.

Re: Power Amp recommenadtion

Will you have the amp close by? or in a seperate room/rack?.
As ADA amps tend to be designed mainly for rack mounting and have fans to provide adequate cooling, not necessarily desirable if it's sitting next to you.
They're good amps though!.

Re: Power Amp recommenadtion

In that case the Parasound is probably the better choice,
As some find the fans on the ADA can be a little bit noisy and distracting if close to the listening position.

I can recommend Parasound, great sound and value with bags of power. I managed (don't ask how) to buy a New Classic 5125 (£540) and two 2125's (£240/£250) on ebay within a few weeks, all in as new condition.
They sound fantastic especially as I'm using one 2125 to power each B&W 683 bi-wired in mono.

Good luck...........
