Arrow Which DAC for my Needs

Hi All,
First of all sorry if this is the wrong section. please move if necessary

It seems on other forums, i am not getting my answer for the question i'm about to ask i'm hoping you experts here can help me.

i would like a DAC for Music/Films at around £400 but could put in more if there one worth the extra.

My Current setup is as follows

Mac Pro - Realtek HD Onboard > NAD BEE 315AMP > 902i Morduant speakers

for films
Sky BOX > Phonos > NAD BEE 315 Amp > 902i Morduant speakers
PS3 > HDMI > TV Phono > AMP > Speakers

please recommended me a DAC it would be great if all 3 could run through the DAC but its not Totally Necessary

Re: Which DAC for my Needs

Are you looking for a dac like a beresford or cambridge for stereo only or are you looking for more of a processor (audiolab 8000ap, arcam av9) so it can do surround sound also?

Re: Which DAC for my Needs

i have tryed many- the cambridge audio dac magic is rediculously underpriced- and just happens to be in my top 3 dac of all time- and i've had quite a few over the last few years!
-usualy i would say go second hand and get a bargin-but in this case i think you'd be pushed to get even close for several times the money.
i think its about £250 at the moment-

ive got one, and im using it with about £15k of amp and speakers.
the other option that may be worth looking into is the beresford caymen- ive not heard this unit, but its getting a good reputation.
