Novice seeks help with connectors please

I'm new to pre/pro and power amp set-ups and would appreciate the advice of the members of this excellent forum please.
I've just bought a Rotel rsp-1575 power amp, and will shortly have a Sunfire pre-pro, but i'm not certain how to connect the two

As the Rotel doesn't have balanced connections, i'm planning to buy three pairs of 0.5m Atlas Equator Superior RCA's. Is that what i need to do to carry five channels to the power amp? Are there any polarity/directional issues that i need to be aware of ?
