Cambridge Audio A5 Problem

Hi;

My house mate has a Cambridge Audio A5 Amplifier which pops the speaker fuses as soon as you turn it on.

The amplifier was plugged in the kitchen one day in the summer and was on about half volume for 3-4 hours. It wasn't in direct sunlight but probably got a bit warm and wouldn't turn back on.

Since then my mate bought one of those Porsche Ipod Docking stations and plugged it into the same socket in the kitchen and this has blown the dock three times now and each time it has been sent away for repair and come back to us.

I am now starting to think that there is something wrong with that socket in the kitchen, but having tried replacing the fuses in the A5 and turning on in different places in the house the speaker fuses pop every time.

The bigger fuse near the on/off switch appears intact.

Can anybody suggest something I can try to resolve this as I'd rather not chuck away a nice A5 for something which can be fixed for a few quid.

Many Thanks
