Building graphic equaliser using ic BA3812L

In the manufacturer's spec sheet external capacitor values are given for five frequency bands only. I want to equalise a bass speaker having measured its output and need different frequency bands as well as the 100Hz given. Can someone provide the formula with helpfully a worked example? Thanks. Also instead of using 100k pots I want to replace these with resistors R1 and R2, R2 being connected to the output, the larger capacitor being connected between the resistors. Again what is the formula -10dB through 0 to +10dB in 1dB steps. Many thanks.
