Is there such a thing? Is it possible?

Ive recently bought a Pioneer DV-868AVI-s, this has ilink connection to my amp (Pioneer VSA-AX10i) so I get SACD, DVD-A and Dolby Digital/DTS signals all down this cable. My question is looking at some of the threads on the Denon part of this website they are using a HDMI audio processor to get 4x coax digital outs to get LPCM in to the AVC-A1SR digitally, could this be done by the ilink connection found on Pioneers amps (AX10,2,3,4,5, etc.) Currently Im using the multichannel input for my blurays. Looking at ilinks specs (being able to carry DVD-As audio - all 6 channels, its not that far off?)
So, is there anything that will do it? Is it possible?

Not sure if there will ever be anything that will do what you want, as i-link has largely been dropped now, but then neither are you likely to get any benefit from doing so. I-link isn't just about keep multi-channel audio digital. There's a system-level quality benefit that leaves it better than what HDMI or spdif can do.
