Hi there,

I recently bought a pair of these wonderful speakers and was wondering what the best amp would be to join up with them. I will be using my laptop as a source and then my music will run from that through a DAC into the amp. I have seen the Cambridge Audio Azur 540a in a Richer Sounds clearance (for £80) near me, but are there better amps I can get at this price point? I don't mind used amps, and I don't mind buying off ebay. Are there any amps that are specifically great to pair with B&W's?

I had a Rotel/B&W setup a good few years ago and it sounded great, they had a real synergy. I was using the first generation B&W 601, I don't remember the model of the amp.

I had a quick look at Ebay and these 2 look interesting:

I wouldn't pay more than £40 for these now, but they were very good in their day.

Thanks mate, that's really useful. I'm looking at a second-hand Rotel ra-01 now...hoping it will match the speakers well
