THX Ultimate Demo DVD

Anyone know where I can get hold of this? Or some of the THX trailer demo discs?

Could someone maybe do a DVD-R of it? (not sure if thats allowed)

I found a site selling it for $24.99(US) but not a very big site and never heard of it, so a little dodgy.

Wish i knew of somewhere or someone as well. I think its a bit of a rip that we should pay for something just to demo our home cinema gear. These disks should be bundled by the hardware manufacturers - its their product we are advertising when our m8's come round for a demo.

I really wanna get one of these babys aswell. You can get them on ebay.com but somtimes the prices go up too $100+. I e-mailed thx and they said i should get in contact with my local home cinema dealer who sells THX certified stuff. I bet i i went an asked a dealer for one, they'd probably:

A: Not know what i was talking about
B: Tell me there not avavible to the public
C: Charge me £20 for one

Its a joke really, they are just a marketing/advertising tool. They should be free/cheap.

Well, I have almost all the THX and DD demos downloaded from the web on 3 x CDs. If I have a bit of time I see no reason why I could not burn them all to a DVD and create a front menu option. I have the DVD creation software so this would be a nice little project.

I reckon it should only take about a day so if people are truly interested I'm happy to give it a go.

Well, I've also just ordered one from that German guy so we'll see if it arrives. Been loading the creation software this evening and fiddling with TMPGEnc so I'll see how it goes.

Doesn't look easy but I like a challenge

I am not sure if this is legally acceptable or not... I am temporarily closing this thread until I get a decision from Admin.
