Anybody know of the best place to get hold of the new PAL DVD edition?

Its on www.play.com for £15 and direct from dvdinternational for $35 (are they US or canadian dollors??) with free screensaver style DVD.

I see the D-VHS comes in 1080i or 720p versions, is that to be the case with the DVD version?

Anyone ?

DVD is limited to 480i or 576i as a format. So that would be a no for 720P or 1080i.....except Joe Kane has said he will try to do a WM9 encoded 1080i or 720P version on DVD that will be playable on suitably equipped WM9 players.

I'm confused as to whether or not to get the PAL or NTSC version.

With regards to PAL, I have:
Sky+
PS2
25% of my DVD collection

NTSC:
Gamecube
X-box
Rest of my DVD collection.

Using with a Panny 6 Plasma screen.

Which would be the best version for me? Logically I'd say NTSC, as I'm pretty sure it 'downsizes' all PAL stuff anyway

You need both as your screen will have seperate memories for NTSC and PAL
