Capture / HDD problems

Hi ppl....i was previously capturing TV via the s-video of my skybox into a lifeview 2000. I was using iuVCR and capturing @ 720x576 using Huffyuv.

Anyway all was ok when i was capturing to my IDE harddrive however i have just purchase a SATA Seagate 120GB. Installed it fine but what i find is everytime i capture to that drive i get sparkly interference in the recording. If i go back to the IDE (which is now low on space) the picture is fine.

Can anyone suggest what to do or what my plan of action should be??

thxs guys
