Hi all,

I bought a CD and want to convert it to MP3 so I can listen on my MP3 player... How do I get it from CD to my PC in MP3 fromat. ?

try using kazza or win mx and searching for a mp3 encoder should be loads.

And i'd like to do it the other way round. But can't.... help!

It will do both cd-->mp3 and mp3-->wav. You can then burn the wavs to cd.

EAC (www.exactaudiocopy.de) + LAME

et voila...

lots of info on these very forums and on google if you want more detail. But essentially anyone who wants bit perfect rips and the best quality mp3 encoding - it's the only way to go.

Totally agree. It can be a bit overwhelming though for beginners, that is why i recommended CDex. CDex is simpler to use and also comes supplied with a LAME binary.

Another vote for EAC+LAME, no doubt it is the best combination there is.

As for CDex I am not familiar with it but one of the other simple tool (which does CD->MP3 is dbPowerAmp Music Converter. I always recommend it to those who do not like to fiddle too much with the software
