I want to start collecting the Walt Disney Treasures. Can anyone tell me if this is a comprehensive list of all the walt disney treasures available (I think it is):

- Mickey Mouse in Living Colour
- Disneyland USA
- Silly Symphonies
- The Complete Davy Crockett Televised Series
- The Complete Goofy
- Mickey Mouse in Black and White
- Behind the Scenes at Walt Disney Studios
- Mickey Mouse in Living Colour Part Two
- The Chronological Donald, Volume 1 (1934 – 1941)
- On the Front Lines
- Tomorrowland

I got that list from Amazon, but am not certain if that is all of them.

Disneyland USA & Behind the Scenes at Walt Disney Studios seem to be the only ones still available anywhere (obviously apart from those not released yet). Does anyone know where I can pick up: Mickey Mouse in Living Colour - Silly Symphonies - The Complete Davy Crockett Televised Series - The Complete Goofy - Mickey Mouse in Black and White or any others I don't know about

Thanks :smashin:

I did a search on google for disney, treasures and it seems that you've listed all of them there...

Try it yourself, it also listed plenty of places to buy them (weather they're out of stock, I don't know)

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Iain.

they are coming out in the UK soon!!!

No guarantee that they'll be identical to the R1 releases, though - either in content or packaging. Will the R2 sets come in the same tins for example?

I've got the 7 that have been released so far and have placed my orders for the next 4 at Play. I'll be sticking to the R1 releases for these sets, as Disney R1 presentation is often better than UK R2 Disney stuff (I'd be happy for them to prove me wrong, though).

I also have an extra copy of Davy Crockett set (sealed) if anyone's interested, let me know. :)

I've got the behind the scenes, MIckey in BW and Goofy.

I hope that Mickey in color will be released in UKR2 the same way than in the US (doesn't have to be in the limited tin, though) as 80quid is just too much for a set.

I'll get the next three though;) (If I have enough money left after all this last quarter will be THE most expensive ever)

Hey Lex,

While looking through the pre-orders section of cd-wow I noticed that they are going to be stocking 4 of the Disney Treasures series on R1.

:- All £14.99 each...

*The Chronological Donald
*Mickey Mouse In Living Colour Volume 2
*Walt Disney On The Front Lines
*Tomorrowland

I don't know if these are new releases, re-releases or what... I'm sure that you'd have a better idea than me.

You've most likely allready seen these but since I remembered about you wanting to start a collection of them I thought I should mention it just in case, the following link should take you to the selection but if not, just go to cd-wow and do a search for "treasures"

Regards,
Iain.

those are the new ones for this fall.

more info here:

new walt disney treasures at disney.com (http://disney.go.com/DisneyVideos/disneytreasures/index.html)

I'm only getting Donald and mickey. the tomorrow land doesn't tempt me. and I'm certainly not in the mood to see how disney got abused (or decided to get) for propaganda purposes.

Hi Iain,

thanks very much for the info. As Lux has mentioned these ones are the new releases due out in December, but these are the best prices I have seen for them so will go ahead and order them. Thanks :smashin:

I have managed to get hold of

- Disneyland USA
- Silly Symphonies
- The Complete Davy Crockett Televised Series
- The Complete Goofy
- Mickey Mouse in Black and White
- Behind the Scenes at Walt Disney Studios

some new, some secondhand. The only one I haven't got is 'Mickey Mouse in Living Colour' which is the most sought after/expensive.

Thanks again.

£14.99 seems pretty cheap. Does anyone know if these new collections will come in tins too?

Lex

I also tried to get Mickey in color. cheapest I found was 80$US:(

Lux,

I bought Silly Symphonies from a trader in the DVDTradeForum - can't remember what I paid exactly, about thirty quid I think (it is in Mint condition).

It no longer seems to be available with any of the online retailers I found. You can still get 'Behind the Scenes', 'Davy Crockett' & 'DisneyLand USA' for about £15 (new) from a few retailers though...

yeah I know I can still find the above three in the shops in Luxembourg as well.

30quid seems reasonable. anyway it looks like the UKR2 will get some treasures as well and I`lll just pick those up that I couldn`t get in R1.
