I see this series is being released on DVD in October and is now available for pre-order from Blackstar and all the other usual places. A top series IMHO and well worth a look if you like wartime drama.

I can remember when they showed it on the BBC and though yawn a boring BBC drama but luckily I started watching when they repeated them. Boy was I mistaken it is a wonderful series about the resistance/underground in occupied France in WWII and although not action packed it is full of tension and pathos. :smashin:
I do not know if to by it for myself or my parents.
This was from a time when the BBC new how to make drama series.
I liked the theme tune by Robert Farnon which opening bar fills you with doom.
Rasczak do you know if it is both series 1 and 2 as the series were quite lengthy (longer runs than the 6 they do these days).

There was a follow up series if you remember called Kessler but I think it only was a 4 part story it would be nice if they added it to the second set but unlikely.

Yes I remember seeing Kessler on UK Gold way, way back. They showed it at something silly like 10am on a Monday morning  Never been repeated since AFAIK.

I have just had a look at IMDB and it was 6 episodes of Kessler.
Can you remember the actor Jerome Willis being in it as they do not give his name, but I seem to remember, SpoilerSpoiler he is shot in the leg with poison I think it was an umbrella just like they did to someone in real life.
