PC/Server/Internet experts, Help!! Needed

Ok a few days ago my Internet started to go strange when i was using IE i could not get on to tekforums.co.uk or hostmysig.com and some times themayhem.com but i could get on them using the AOL browser and once i went on them using AOL i could also get on them using IE to a certain degree before the "Cannot be Displayed page come up*

Whats anoying me is ive used various Spy/Adware killers to delete any Adaware etc i may have and ive done a Full System Virus Scan which came up negative, yet these things keep happening randomly but its is only the 2 sites i described that usualy do it, and my non AOL friends can get on them using IE but i have a AOL friend who cant get on them when using IE also, so it leads me to think its an AOL problem.

Also a bit of info that may help the two Web sites have both had either Server Problems or Upgrades in the past week or so.

But what do you guys think, is it AOL and if so is there anything that can be done

Cheers

If AOL use proxy servers, they may be acting up.

I have the same problem with NTL sometimes. The local proxy server acts up and I have trouble connecting to certain sites.

If AOL run different proxy servers for different areas, then using a proxy server meant for somewhere else might help.

Either the AOL tech pages should list the proxy server addresses, or a Google search might turn up a list.
