I'm thinking of an mp3 player
Looking at this bad-boy by Sony (I know it's expensive)

Looks cool, but I'm worried as it converts MP3/WMA to ATRAC3 before playback. Anyone have experience of that? Do you get a big loss of quality from the conversion?
Second choice would be one of the nice I-River ones;

Looks quite funky, extra features, but not rechargeable, docking looks a bit messy and the whole thing doesn't look as cool (I'm just a gadget whore).
Anyone have experience of either? Especially interested in the MP3/WMA to ATRAC3 conversion.
