View Full Version : luminous keyboard decals ?
I've had a look round but cannot find anywhere that does luminous keyboard decals. These would be ideal for my gyratec keyboard (and also my workstation at work to be honest).
Anyone know a potential supplier?
Failing that I might have to get some luminous enamel or something and paint over the keys myself.

No decals, but I recently saw an electroluminecent (sp) keyboard (various colours) being advertised. Can't for the life of me remember where though :(
Cheers

Nah thanks for the info but I'm really just after some luminous stick on lettering for my gyratec keyboard (no way I'd trade it for any keyboard in the world).

I'm really just after some luminous stick on lettering for my gyratec keyboardI've been wondering any of those Gameboy LED "snake" light things would do the job? Anyone know of one with a small battery? It really doesn't need to give off much light to see the letters on the Gyration KB.
Mark.
You could probably just use a little led and a watch battery stuck on it somewhere. Still prefer it if the letters would glow in the dark though. Can't believe no-one has thought of it.

What about that electro luminescent thin wire you can get? I've seen a few modders putting it into their keyboards underneath the keys, looks cool, and although it doesn't really help with the lettering, it could be good if you can "semi" touch type as you can see the outline of all the keys. Maybe some light would leak so you could see the letters? I'm not sure if the Gyration keyboard keys have enough travel for this to be possible however, and i also don't know of the power requirements of the cable or the keyboard, but i figure i'd chip in my 2p anyway :)

An alternative is to just use the windows onscreen keyboard. If you need it just for typing in URLs etc you may find this is enough.
