Dvd Transfer

Does anyone know if you can transfer a dvd from the dvd onto the harddrive of your pc,i have tried but it just ends up all blocky etc????

So once you add it to your HD can you then Rip it back to a DVDR?
Just thinking about making a trailer DVD for showing before the main picture.

i love your posts, i really do. its sound like you want to have that "real cinema" experiance at home, i'll tell you what i'll come round and sit behind you and play with the ring tones on my phone, flick popcorn at the screen and threaten to kill you if you even look at me!

As for the trailer DVD, i got one off a friend and it played before I watched a film recently - my wife looked at me as though i'd gone out!! she picked up her book and told me to let her know when the film starts

Note for best effect you need two DVD players - so you can flick the AV input once they have finished and start the film - do it right and its quite cool - do it badly and men in white coats will be taking you away.
