Just been on cd-wow and noticed that the R1 Two Towers is 214minutes whereas R2 is only 206. Is this correct, and if so, I guess the R1 is the 1 to get?
(PS I'm new to the multi-region thing)

I think I may have just found my answer on another thread.
Apparantly PAL plays 4% faster than NTSC, which plays in real time.
you are correct about the pal speed up.
IMO The R1 Is the one to go for as the actual box is more astecically pleasing. But the specs are the same.

Yup, the box/sleeve for the R1 FOTR actually looked like a decent leatherbound hardback book, where as the R2 version looked like 4 discs thrown into a crap, flimsy wraparound thin card sleeve that'll last 5 minutes. Typical EIV rubbish. A cheap imitation of the R1 version that (no surprises here....) costs more than the R1 version:rolleyes:. The only way you could get the decent cover in the UK was if you bought the more expensive boxed set with the bookends. Typical EIV - having to pay through the nose for what you get as standard in the US.
If you want quality the only real option is the R1.
