Usa Hardware ?

Hi,

Does anybody know wether USA made amps and speakers will work in UK cars. I guess the speakers will be fine. But the amps may be different. I remember reading somewhere that to work in UK cars they have to be a ' negeative earth ' type ???

Anybody up on this ?

You are correct. To work in nearly all UK vehicles you are looking at negative earth equipment (the exeptions to this would be old British cars with a positive earth).

So.................does this mean that i can use the speakers.....................but not the amps ?

The amp will be fine as long as it's 12v dc negative earth ... which is just about every amp you will be looking at. :)
