Buying a New 26" for my bedroom - Gaming, Freeview and Films

Hello

I have decided to replace the 14" CRT in my room for a brand new 26" LCD screen, however I don't know which one to get.

I am mainly going to use it for watching TV and playing on my Xbox 360 in HD. Also at some point hopign to get HD freesat so something which can handle that and look amazing.

I have around £350 quid to spend so if you could recommend any i would appreciate it.

Cheers
Max

Sony 26T3000 at £363 http://www.electrosaver.co.uk/produc...tid=KDL26T3000

or the slightly higher priced panny (if Argos have them in stock still) http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...%7C9555318.htm

are by far the best 26" in that price range

Re: Buying a New 26" for my bedroom - Gaming, Freeview and Films

If you can stretch to the Panasonic 26-LXD70 it is widely regarded as the best in class and every review I've read favors it over the 26T3000.

e.g. http://www.hdtvorg.co.uk/reviews/lcd...dl-26t3000.htm

However like it says in the above review, it is cheaper than the Panasonic so it's a case of can you justify the better tv for an extra £35?

the 26T3000 and 26LXD70 arent that much different anyway and I suppose the OP cant stretch to 400 so there arent many choices...

You can get the new samsung 32'' for the same price as that sony. Honestly if you buy a 26 you will wish you bought bigger after a while. Trust me I know lol

Re: Buying a New 26" for my bedroom - Gaming, Freeview and Films

The Fact is, My room is too small to house anything bigger than a 26" i've measured up and a 32" would look stupidly big, becuase originally i was hoping to get a 22" but then i relised i could squeeze a 26" in there
