Panasonic TX32LMD70 or TX32LXD70

Just purchased a Sony KDL32S3000 but I'm really unhappy with the picture on SD (see thread here). New Sony KDL32S3000 picture all blurry - help?

I am thinking of returning the set in exchange for either a Panasonic TX32LMD70 or the TX32LXD70 - what are your thoughts on these two LCD's?

Thanks

Re: Panasonic TX32LMD70 or TX32LXD70

I'll be amazed if you can still buy either of those. The LXD70 was "deleted" a few months ago. Go for the 32LXD85 instead. The SD quality is really good.

Edit - just seen your original post. You can get a new LXD85 for about £500, so I;d go for a brand new set, instead of a second hand one.

I would recommend the Panasonic TX-32LXD85
I myself am going to buy this set very soon, and you can now purchase this set for around £500 - £550 with a 5 year warranty, bargain!

Just so you are aware:

I called RGB today; the £494 is an online price only and if you want the 5-yr warranty, you have to buy the telly instore, where the prices are not the same as online. If you want to buy online at RGB and extend the warranty, you have to go for one of the dreaded Domestic & General options when you buy it; so add £99 for only 3 years....and personally I hate D & G with a passion, so I would rather buy a Matsui telly than give them any of my money; but that's just my view of course......

The RGB instore "shelf" price is £599; but they offered it to me for £544 including the warranty, which puts it pretty much exactly the same as Richer Sounds (£549 including their own 5 year "panel protection"): http://www.richersounds.com/showprod...PANA-TX32LXD85

In fact, because this is an instore price, Richer Sounds should price match it and then give you an extra £10 I think; but you might want to make a call first.

So it depends whether you feel that a "direct" Panasonic guarantee is better than the Richer Sounds one and whether you can easily get to RGB in Essex or a Richer Sounds more locally.....

However, this doesn't stop the telly being fantastic......now I have to think whether I've got the odd 5 and a 1/2 hundred quid lying around somewhere....

Hope this helps,

Nuck.

Or just cut out all the hassle and get it from John Lewis online with a 5-year warranty for £549, inc. delivery:

Seems like an absolute bargain to me.......
