Which LCD for around £500 from John Lewis?

Hi,

After sending my TV in for repair at John Lewis I have been offered a Samsung LE32A457C1DXXU or £479 towards a new TV. Can anyone recommend a good LCD for around this price - have lost touch with the LCD market at the moment.

Also I assume I can price match as normal using this store credit - does anywone know if this is the case?

Thanks

Wow, just noticed that JL have dropped their prices by a large margin, when did this happen?

on saturday, JL are matching curry's huge price drops on lcds. quite painful as profit margins aren't that high on tvs

Wow, I guess that is unlucky for them, but very lucky for us

So the prices have been slashed permanently rather than just some sort of temporary special offer? Just making sure as I am planning on buying my TV in a month or so, but if their prices will rise again I might have to purchase now!

Re: Which LCD for around £500 from John Lewis?

John Lewis' prices are all messed up!

They've matched Currys on some products, and left others at the former price.

Consequently the 37" Samsung A656 costs £949,
where as the 40" Samsung A656 costs £799

Amazon still appears to be cheaper than JL on pretty much everything despite the price matching war going on between the various highstreet stores.

Isn't there technically a 5 year guarantee on all TV's no matter who you buy from?
