Which playback software do you use for DVD Video .ts files?

I have a relatively small sized DVD library and I have recently started ripping them using MactheRipper (just the main feature) as Video .ts files so as not too lose any quality.

I tried playing them back with My Movies in MCE and it wasnt as good PQ as my standalone upconverting Sony DVD player.

Someone recommended FFShow but I am a relative novice so would like a recommendation for a player which I can install and use easily (preferably from within MCE without too much technical knowledge.

Can someone recommend me one?

Thanks

Zoomplayer and ffdshow are very good, free and have loads of sites out their helping you to get the best from the player.
ffdshow is a very powerful tool, but alas their is no definitive guide on it use yet.

Just to add, ffdshow is a collection of codecs (the underlying methods of how the video is decoded), Zoomplayer is a player (ie the frontend) which uses the codecs.

Other frontends include KPMplayer and then Mediafrontends like MediaPortal etc. All of these use the underlying codecs, so you need to get that right.

There is a link in the HTPC Sticky to the "Codec Help Thread" in "Home Cinema" sub-forum.

Hope this helps.
