Hi. We have various whether you need flat, tilt or articulated. I'm guessing from your post that you want flat or tilt. If you're mounting the TV between 0.9 and 1.2 metres from the floor then a flat one will be fine. Any higher and you may want to consider a tilter. These TVs are quite good for cable access so there's no need to compromise the depth of the bracket for this. Look at;

Flat; http://www.m-formonline.co.uk/index....mart&Itemid=26
Tilt; http://www.m-formonline.co.uk/index....mart&Itemid=26
Articulated; http://www.m-formonline.co.uk/index....mart&Itemid=26

All brackets benefit from Free Delivery and our unique G-Fit Guarantee which not only covers fitment of of the TV to the bracket but also any problems which may arise from cables access etc...

As far as wall mounting is concerned; If you have a solid wall then you have no problem, we have some recommended solid wall fixings here http://www.m-formonline.co.uk/index....d=24&Itemid=26. If you have a stud partition wall then you ideally need to fix the bracket to the studs or attach battons first then reinforce with plasterboard fixings.

Hope this helps

Regards
Graham

Re: Sony Bravia 40" LCD-TV KDL-40W4000

Hi. For your Sony this bracket will work fine. The 6 pack will be ok if you're going into a solid wall, just make sure you spread them out evenly. The FUR10x100s are rated to 10Kgs each so no problem with weight unless you're looking at an articulated bracket where the weight has more leverage.
