soundcard for pc

Hi guys


im a newby when it comes down to pcs so i thought ill ask on here i just want to know what would be a good sound card to get as i like to play music through my stereo amp

Hi,

It depends on how much you wish to spend...

I have an xfi and its pretty good at what its does, but for more money you can get very good! It cost me about £120 I think..

Hi im not sure on budget i just what one wich will give me good hi fi sound has i listen to alot of music threw my stereo could you give me a list on some sound cards for my needs or sites that would be great .

Personally I'd go for a card with a digital output, as this will bypass any DAC's on the card, and will be unaltered from the source, allowing your amp to process the sound rather than the PC card.

This of course will only work if your amp has a digital input....

no i dont have digital input im using a 2 channel stereo amp using left and right phonos to the aux on the stereo amp
