dont know if this is the right place but here goes keep getting antivirus 2008 on my pc every time i put a password in this comes up saying your not protected and sending me to a advert for antivirus my gf has been click on thing anyway found it in programs but wont let me deleate can anybody help me plz

Sounds like spyware. Try downloading spy bot search and distory that should get rid of it!

Antivirus 2008 and antivirus 2009 are definitely spyware. There are manual removal tools that enable you to remove the files from directory and registry - using task manager and search to find files. My suggestion is to google antivirus 2009 - there are a number of sites with explanations for removal. I just successfully removed it from my son's computer last night.

Hi there. I run a computer shop and come across this bit of spyware nearly every day on people's machines. The best thing to remove it is this: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Install, update and then run a full scan, it will get rid of it.
