subs and y connectors!

i hhave been looking at these y splitters for subs, as in my sub manual it doesn't really say which input to plug a lfe signal into. i decided that i would try a splitter and see what difference it would make - cor, i wasn't half missing out on the lfe action! the sub is now going ballistic wheras before it was a little bit reluctant! i will have to re-set it up but for £25 the qed sub spliiter has worked wonders for me. thought i would share this as i know subs are probably the hardset speaker in a setup to get right and this could well help

That's still quite expensive for a Y-lead.

It is but it uses two 15cm jumper leads to Y adapter. The leads are Silver Reference Series with QED Reference Plugs. The Plugs themselves are £15 each to buy. Whether any of this makes a difference, I can't say as I haven't used one. I do use their Silver Reference SR-SW Sub cable (though not for much longer). I would imagine the QED Y Adapter would be a great match for the SR-SW range of Sub cables.

Am I allowed to add that Fairy Godmother (aka Uncle Eric) sent me a Bandridge AL418 2xRCA to RCA 'splitter' for nought when I bought the Velo vx10. I found it on the web for less than a fiver, which is not to knock the 'gift' but to indicate something less than £35 is availlable.

without a doubt you could get something cheaper, but i actually went to buy some qed plugs (£5 each) and a metre of qnex 1 cable (£10/m) but then saw this for a little more. they even said that if it didn't work i could take it back, so why not? the lazy part of me knows that i should probably take it back and make one, but i bet thats why shops do loans-once you've found what you need, you don't want to part with it!
