Disabling USB warning box.

My laptop is quite old and as such does not have USB 2.0, only 1.1 - but that doesn't stop it giving me warning boxes everytime I plug in a flash drive, ipod etc.

"This device can perform faster blah blah blah..."

Is there anyway to disable this message in particular?

Go to Control Panel - System Properties - Hardware - Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus Controllers, then under each controller right click on properties and go to the advanced tab, check the box that says dont tell me about usb errors.
