kids channels on freesat

Hi all just like to ask If disney or jetix or nickelodeon will ever come to free sat, if not us with kids are stuck will sky, as freeview & freesat choices are rather poor. thanks in advance.

Highly unlikely that any subscription channels will move in the next year or two to FTA on freesat for many reasons discussed on other threads (rights issues, loss of revenue from subs etc). Virtually all the rest of the 200 channels before Xmas estimate will be from channels already broadcasting FTA (there are a few childrens channels amongst them) and receivable on either a freesat box in non freesat mode or on a Sky dodgibox without a viewing card). Unfortunately people expect freesat to be a competitor to Sky - it is not and never can be - Sky is pay TV financed by subscription and advertising, freesat is free TV channels supported only by advertising and the license fee.
