SKY+ requires a LNB feed to the tuner whose dedicated output is sent to the internal hard drive, the second LNB feed is for the second tuner and is used for "live" viewing and pausing programs.
So if all you want is to view SKY programs or FTV programs then a single LNB input it fine and you can purchase SKY+ from a dealer or hight street store and not pay an installation fee or the £10 subscription to the service.

A special thin, twin "shotgun" cable can be used for twin runs from the LNB. This is a *general* statement and doesn't refer only to SKY+ although the Sky ladder monkeys will normally use it for SKY+ as it does NOT require a larger hole in the wall.

Drawback is that it has higher losses than H109 or CT100 so the maximum recommended length is only 20 metres (unless your signal is exceptionally high already or you use a larger dish). Other slight drawback is that it uses special "F" connectors. These and cable and special cable clips (for wall) are available from satcure and possibly other suppliers.
