I haven't seen this excellent 80's classic for
years but that's about to change as it is due
out on R2 at the end of June.
Some good extras too, look....

Now that's a MUCH superior release to the previous Region 1. Might have to get that one - be interested in seeing the short films :smashin:
I bet the DTS soundtrack will be mediocre though.

Heheh, I was working in a cinema at the time this film was showing & I still remember quite a few people dashing to the toilets shortly afterwards :p
I still remember having to clear the mess up afterwards if someone didn't make it to the toilets in time as well though
Ahh, memories are made of this.......
Still think this is Rutger Hauers best performance though, his character would teach Hannibal Lecter a thing or two.
Could be a future purchase if they've made a good conversion of the soundtrack into DTS.

Yeah, Hitcher is a great film, and as such, I fully expect it to be remade in 3 or 4 years with Freddy Prinze Jr.

well I picked up the Reg 2 2 disc S.Ed today, but there is no DTS on the disc even though the specs on the back state DTS.:(
A little disappointed to say the least as I rckon DTS may give the movie some grunt..
Anyone else picked it up yet.? and can confirm the same.

Bought mine yesterday - and yes I can confirm that there is no dts track on it, even though it's saying that it has on the packaging.
How can they get away with this ? Is it not false advertising ??
