I have had a report made to me by one dvd owner who is experiencing problems with Harry Potter 2, and his Grundig GDV 210a and playback. He states other problem discs play fine.
Any other people out there having problems? I asume that he is talking about R2 disc, although waiting for conformation.

I'm having problems with disc one of HP2 on my DAVs300. I haven't tried the other disc yet.
Freezing, skipping and distorting all the way through.
My friend also has the same problem on her Samsung player.
Both copies were sourced from Britannia M&V club...

Strange, like I posted earlier, we watched it all the way through the other night on ours and it didn't miss a beat. Is the disc dirty?

No, First thing I checked. It was a case of "straight out of the case and straight into the player".
There is a glue drop right in the centre of the disc but this does not interfere with the data surface at all.

Just an update on this - I've just been on the phone to Britannia who have confirmed that there is a batch of defective discs doing the rounds at the moment.
