Picked up Platoon (Special Edition) and Romancing The Stone/Jewel Of The Nile in HMV yesterday. Had no intention of buying anything but 3 films for £19.99 was too much to resist. Some good titles on offer as well. I've nothing on pre-order but the next disc I buy will probably be Red Dragon (R2).

I´ve promised the missus i´m not buying anything for the next 8 weeks so I can put back the money I spent on amp & speakers :D

But I currently have on preorder from dvdsoon:

Hunt for Red October (R1 SE)
Patriot Games (R1 SE)
Vanilla Sky (R1)

I also ordered Gremlins SE from dvdimport.com about a month or more ago only to find they didnt have it in stock and they reckon they dont have a delivery date from the studio. Might have to change that order. Thing is I doubt I´ll find anything else decent for the $13 ...

It's a mainland Chinese release rather than from Hong Kong, so the menus/cover may well just be in Chinese (if that makes a difference to you) although it does have English subtitles.
I don't know if they're still doing the same deal, but when I ordered you could pick a free DVD if you ordered Hero (extended) at the same time.

The release date's been put back another couple of weeks though, it was supposed to be mid-April now it looks like it'll be nearer the end of the month.

Thanks mate. The cover doesn't matter to me, but obviously English subtitles are very important

If the release is still tentative, I think I will wait until it's firmer and will add that one and the retailer to my list :)

Well I was referring to orders not wishlists, but whatever the case, you can create new profiles for those DVDs yourself. The UPCs are easily gotten hold of from lots of retailers. I hunted down the R2 UPC for "Knowing Me, Knowing You" and created a new profile myself :)

So no excuses boy! If you want it, you can do it

Yeah, but you order a lot of stuff months in advance don't you? It's very rare for me to pre-order so well in advance, so it's only very infrequently that I have to create my own profile.

I don't use the wishlist in DVD Profiler; instead favouring a .txt file that holds a list of movies in theatres that I would like once out on DVD and a few other recommendations from some people.
