True Lies
Hi.
Does anyone have any news with regards to True Lies , being released as a special edition.
At the moment i have the R1 copy , but it is non anamorphic , and uncut. However the other day , i borroewed a R" copy , and guess what , it was Anamorphic , and it also had no cuts .!

According to the BBFC, True Lies was cut for video/DVD. However, according to dvdcompare, the uncut (ie European) version was released here in error. Evidently it was never recalled.

I got the R4 version of True Lies after hearing that the R1 Special Edition had been cancelled.
The R4 (australian) version can be ordered from here for around £8.

It's uncut and anamorphic but the extras are pants.

Because it has Islamic terrorists like the Sept 11 guys.
True Lies 2 was canned for the same reason. The special edition DVD of the first was to cash in on the release of the second.
