LCD or plasma 1080p

Although we are half talking about plasmas here this seemed the best forum for it....

I'm trying to select a new tv and ive narrowed it down to a few options:

Plasma

http://www.1staudiovisual.co.uk/cata...ma-p-3288.html
http://www.1staudiovisual.co.uk/cata...ma-p-3295.html

LCD

http://www.1staudiovisual.co.uk/cata...ch-p-2301.html
http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/re...40in-LCD-TV/p1

I'm trying to keep it under £1000. I will be using this tv for high def gaming, movies and general computer use all connected by hdmi. Right now I'm leaning towards the Samsung-LE40A656 but I will need to wait for it to go down a little in price.

Which normally looks better when using a computer 1080p dvi output, plasma or lcd?

Any help you could give would be great!

Re: LCD or plasma 1080p

Having owned a Samsung LCD, I'd choose the plasma. However you're using it with a computer, so for that I'd get the LCD. Maybe buy both, go dual view, plasma for movie playback (secondary) and the LCD for desktop (primary)

LCD!

PS; Why not go for a Sony model (V3000)?

Had a look at that set but thought that the samsung seemed to have the edge.

One question I forgot to ask is does anyone know if the samsung have 1:1 pixel mapping?
