Red face Panasonic TX32LZD80 LCD 'screw holes' that won't work

Hello all,

Screw Holes are today's topic...

Having purchased a Panasonic TX32LZD80 I have tried to mount it to a stand using size m4 screws (included with the stand) and this size has been confirmed by Panasonic UK.

However, this screw will not 'screw'. To my eye, there is no thread inside the LCD. I am perplexed for an alternate reason. Being a laywoman I'm prepared to admit that maybe I'm wrong, but a screw that wont screw has a problem with a thread, and the screws have perfect thread.

TIA
