help deciding on camera.... probably a sony

Im looking at getting a camera very soon. I do like the sony cameras but researching them has made me more confused.

The ones that I am looking at are the DSC W130 and the DSC W200, the camera isnt actually for me but is for my Mum whos other one got stolen.

What is confusing me with the DSC W130 is the "lack of manual controls" can anyone tell me what I am missing if I buy this.

My mum needs something that is nice to use, features arnt that important. But some kind of image stabilization would be very useful also something that isnt to bad for indoor low light shots. (the lack of manual controls in the W130 is making me wonder for night/indoor shots)

The DSC W130 ive been told is newer than the DSC W200, does this make it a better camera?

Can't comment on those particular cameras - I have always used Canon Ixus point and shoot digicams as they are well built, have never let me down and produce good images. It's worth having a look at www.dpreview.com for reviews.
