Remote that controls lights and home cinema!!
Hi Guys.
Am doing a massive project in around 2 years times (see DIY section ) am doing my research now i want everything to be perfect. Am looking for a touch screen remote that can control everything even the spot lights in the home cinema. I want them to dim down and up not just switch on and off. I looked around on this forum but didn't see anything. Hope someone can help.

How much do you want to spend? I just used a £25 IR dimmer with universal remote. If you want lighting schemes, or multi-room then need to plump out a fair bit of dosh.

Re: Remote that controls lights and home cinema!!
Based upon you original post I would actually wait until your ready. However, in todays market i would suggest
Harmony 895 - with Z-Wave devices for you lighting I reckon the remote and Z-Wave devices (modules & switches)would be about £500.
or, if money not an issue
Philips Pronto Pro TSU9400 or TSU9600 with RFX9600 extender and Lutron lighting. Total cost £2K plus
Mark
Also check out Rako lighting (although if its a one room solution you want lutron is best)
