I am using a US unlocked iphone on a £15 sim only O2 package. So voted 02. But I guess you do not mean that.

Perhaps you should get the options changed to O2 Legit, O2 unlocked, Orange unlocked etc etc

I agree I have a 'legit' phone but no option to vote which contradicts with what you are wondering about ;)

Same.

More than happy I went legit, especially since the tariffs have come down on o2.

Which service provider for payg is better for the iphone. My wife wants one. We use orange. Does anyone have any problems using the internet service without Edge?

I used Orange before moving to O2. Edge works fine on both.

Just found the data package £7.50 and the sim only £15 contract better tahn any orange offering.

So Orange is fine technically for a hacked phone.

(no visual voicemail on hacked phones)

im using mine on vodafone as i still got 7 months left on contract.

400 mins any time any network @ £25 pm and £3 for 50txt bolt on.

did enquire about web etc and was told £7.50pm for 120mb.

i dont think that would last 1 month ?

total that up to £35.50pm.

so i would be better off on the £35 02 contract of 600mins, 500 txt and unlimited web.

roll on 7 months time.

Got iPhone yesterday for £119 in CPW. (Wife upgraded her phone to Nokia 6500 Classic and got £150 cash for her old handset(D900), I just paid the difference) Pwn'd it last night and now have my T-Mobile Flext25 (11 months left on contract) sim inside with unlimited data for £29.50pm

How to calculate yourself rich :rotfl: £120+£150=£270 or actually £1 more than the standard price and you had to hand back an existing asset. ;)

Good trade-in price for the Nokia 6500 though :smashin:

Not normally one to get involved in these kind of discussions but I can't help it...

Actually £119 paid by me plus £150 credit for Samsung D900 (very good price) making £269 (standard price to be pedantic!). Nokia 6500 for free! Plus am able to eBay my HTC Touch(6months old) and old Ipod (18mths old) to hopefully recover most of that £119. So in effect consolidate 2 ageing gadgets into one brand new one for free and get a new 6500 in exchange for an 18month old D900. At the same time as continuing both mine and the wife's existing tariffs.

Not exactly calculating myself rich but I feel I got a pretty good deal.

No doubt about it that you got a good deal:smashin: But accountants and the tax man and me ;) Just won't agree that you got the iPhone for £120 (£119), its just that it will spark so much conversation. You merely got it for £269 like everybody else, but used different style payment towards it just like we all do. Some use cash, some use credit card, some sell other toys on ebay, some got a credit note etc....All that does not change the price of an iPhone....That's all:smashin:

I think the options are O2 (and legit) or other network and unlocked. The one that's missing is O2 but unlocked, i.e. not on an "official" O2 tariff.

you know i think if they had of done an £20 plan

of say..

200 to 300 mins

150 to 200 txts

unlimited data....

they would of got a lot more people take out the offical plan instead of them unlocking them onto other networks..

but yer. the unlocked 02 should of been added to the poll.
